Thankfully
the letters and phone calls and formal documentation seem to have worked. We proved that the new escrow amount required was without merit (the PIN listed for us was wrong, among other things) and have made an agreement to put what we were already saving for our upcoming taxes into the bank’s escrow account, with a bit of backpay to settle a significantly lowered deficit. Totes manageable.
Thank you high speed interweb, thank you education, and thank you Brandy at Chase (they bought our loan from Shady McShaderson ages ago) for listening to what we were saying. Again, my thoughts go out to the many people without the resources I have. I wonder if there is anything I can do to help out beyond being open about my own experiences…
