This is my favorite play dough recipe and this is my favorite one for fingerpaints. Refrigerate whatever you make or it will mold in a matter of days which makes it all a lot less appealing. Betty Crocker Gels are my favorite food colorants because they are less messy and dry faster than the thin liquid kind. They are also very vibrant:

You can also add the gels to these little pastina stars and mix them around a bit. They dry fast and make one hell of a good indoor “sand” play material. The stars get all over the place but at least they look cute when they do.

Yep, we have a pretty good time around here.
